Our daughter attended this pre-school and has gained confidence and great understanding of things i didn't know of at her age. The staff are fantastic!! Whenever we met up for parent teacher interviews, it felt like we were learning new things too. Our daughter is a whiz at her school and quite often leads by example. THANK YOU EMMPS for the strong foundation you have given our daughter.
I have 2 kids in this school and I find it to be excellent! The teachers are well trained and do a great job helping my kids to love learning (they are always practicing and describing the things they have learnt). The activities they do are all Montessori activities and the teachers know exactly how each child is progressing. I love how much attention they get. They are taught good personal hygiene habits too so they are almost never sick!
Elizabeth Macarthur Montessori Pre-school EMMPS is a preschool that provides excellence in education for 3-6 year olds based in the Montessori methods.
Located in Raby, the school caters for children of south West Sydney ranging from Liverpool right through to the Campbelltown/Macarthur region.
In a Montessoir classroom, the teacher is called the Directress. The role entails introducing the child to materials appropriate to the child's development level and observing the child's interaction in the immediate classroom environment on a variety of levels. The Directess acts as a guide, helping the child to find materials to satisfy the needs of a current sensitive period.
The Directress encourages independence in the children which allows them to make their own choices concerning which materials to work with at the own rate of progression while allowing them the freedom to develop their own social network.
