DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE!!! These rude and incompetent women completely ruined my dog’s coat. I should have paid attention to my instinct and left straight after I entered. The stench and uncleanliness of the front of the store was disgusting. There was years of dust and gross fur build up. I also overheard them speaking to and talking about the animals in a way that you would only expect from people that hated animals. My dog is a Papillion and when I dropped her off I stipulated that because of her naturally long coat she didn’t need trimming. I returned to find that they essentially shaved my dog. They performed grooming procedures and clipping that I didn’t even ask for and then wanted to charge me for it. One of the defining characteristics of Papillion’s are their delightfully full and long ears and tail – the name means ‘butterfly’ which comes from the shape and fullness of their ears. My poor dog now has no ear and barely any tail fur. She doesn’t even look like a Papillion anymore. These women clearly showed a lack of understanding of the breed. Who shaves a Papillion??? It wasn’t even a good clipper job; there are uneven chunks of fur missing. My dog looks ridiculous. When I was visibly upset about what they did to my dog they were so rude and basically ridiculed me and laughed at me and refused to take any responsibility for their mistake. One lady said “it’s just fur it’ll grow back”. Well, it’s not JUST fur; they have destroyed the whole character of my dog. Papillion’s fur is not fast growing – it will take 2-4 years for her coat to grow back. As my dog is in the twilight of her life, I’m worried she will never get her character back before she goes off to doggy heaven. Devastated!!!
