Stuart Bell Shade Sails have been providing Shade Sail Solutions since 1985, that is over 35 years of experience in the sail making business. We carefully choose high quality strong and robust fabric materials for each Shade Sail we manufacture. The fabric we use comes straight from leading Australian Suppliers who conform with Australian Industry Standards. Shade Sail Cloth is a soft, light fabric made from high-density Polyethylene. It is a knitted fabric which is elastic and comes in varying weights depending on the application. Typically sail thread deteriorates after 8-10 years and sails need a restitch. Tenara thread (which we use at Stuart Bell Shade Sails) has a life expectancy of 15 years. You will not have to resew your sail within this 15 year period.
