Silver Reblocking specialise in restumping houses throughout Melbourne and regional Victoria.

All houses are different, and are built on grounds with different soil conditions. For that reason, every house will display deterioration in different ways. If failed stumping is left untreated, the end result is the same; partial or total collapse of the structure. Our work is finished to the highest standards and is covered by a conditional seven year guarantee. High quality concrete stumps are used as required. Jack and Pack:
Jack and pack consists of lifting (also known as jacking) the house to make it level. Packers are then inserted on top of the concrete stump. The floor is then lowered back down which keeps the house level. This process is only available to houses that have existing concrete stumps in place.

Reblocking:
Reblocking basically involves removing existing stumps and replacing them with new concrete stumps.

This is done by jacking up the area around the defective stumps and then lowering the floor joist back onto the new stump and then securing into place with concrete. Each new stump must be precisely positioned in order to ensure the house will be level and structurally sound.
