About the Montebello Islands

The Montebello Islands are located in the Pilbara, Western Australia approximately 70 kilometers west of Dampier, and 100 kilometers North West of Exmouth. They feature beautiful beaches, bays, and lagoons fringed by mangroves in places that are well worth taking a tour, and surrounded by corals and tropical fish. There are 265 islands at the Montebello a perfect habitat for t Montebello Island fishing adventures.

Montebello Islands are home to GT’s, Coral & Coronation Trout, Red Emperor, Spangled Emperor, Blue Bone, Baldchin Groper, Rankin Cod, Various other Northern Cods including the coral cod, Wahoo, Spanish Mackerel, Sail Fish and Marlin. Surrounding reef systems are also host to the painted cray’s while sensational mud crabs lurk among the mangroves.
