Sandblasting or abrasive blasting is the process used to clean and/or etch a surface by means of an abrasive such as sand, bead or shot directed at high velocity against the product or surface.
Sandblasting is one of the most effective ways to strip and remove a surface of any foreign material. It has an effect similar to that of using sand paper, but provides a more even finish with no problems with corners, nooks or crannies and hard to reach places. Sandblasting helps to rejuvenate the material and start the process of making it look new again.
Sandblasting uses compressed air to "blast" fine steel grit material through a nozzle and at the object desired to be sandblasted. These abrasive materials quickly remove the surface of the object leaving a clean surface.
