Anita is passionate about creating an environment of physical and psychological safety, placing you at the center of their work, and engaging in a therapeutic response which conveys understanding, acceptance, and value for each individual. By delivering counselling in this way, Anita's clients are able to begin to heal and to find hope and freedom from the negative effects of trauma.
Anita is the only local certified canine assisted therapist and along with her 4 year old Labrador delivers animal assisted therapy. AAT has been shown to meet the human needs of attention, affection and connection with others, resulting in positive effects on the nervous system, reducing stress and anxiety in the body to promote communication and improve rational thinking and problem solving.
Anita is registered with the Australian Counselling Association and is experienced in assisting people who receive NDIS support.
