Shanli and the girls are absolutely lovely, very welcoming atmosphere. Shanli is very thorough and extremely passionate about oral health. They offer same day appointments as well as payment plans to make it easier for everybody to keep their oral health in check. Highly recommend!!
Dr Shanli grew up on the Northern Beaches of Sydney with her family and completed her schooling at Mackellar Girls High School. Before entering the Graduate Dentistry program, Dr Shanli received her major in Cytopatholgy, with a degree in Biomedical Science at the University of Technology, Sydney. She then entered into Dental Practice after completing a Bachelor of Dentistry Degree at the University of Sydney in 2006.
Her involvement in clinical teaching at the Faculty of Dentistry at Sydney University until 2012 sparked Dr Shanli’s interest in Periodontology (gum health). Returning to teaching in 2016-2017 at the Charles Sturt University Clinic in Dubbo, Dr Shanli provided clinical supervision to the final year Dental students.
Rural terms working in Wagga Wagga, Lightening Ridge, Bourke, Collarenebri, Broken Hill and other inland regions have provided Dr Shanli with an in depth understanding of the unique needs of rural and regional patients when it comes to managing oral health conditions.
Dr Shanli’s enthusiasm for patient education and care combined with her scientific education enables her to provide a comprehensive individual treatment plan for each of her patients. Her patients are encouraged to take an active role in their preventive care plan with regular backup and support from her.
During her time with the Royal Flying Doctors in Dubbo, Dr Shanli gained much reward in reaching out to the remotest communities in NSW to provide vital dental care services in the outback.
Dr Shanli is a member of the Australian Dental Association. She annually attends continuing education and clinical sessions within the University of Sydney and at international education seminars. Her special interest is in Preventative Dental Care and Minimalistic Cosmetic Dentistry to restore a natural smile for her patients.
