Osteopathy is a system of health care that focuses on the treatment of the physical body, joints, muscles, nerves and connective tissues.
The techniques are hands-on, and range from treating muscular contractions following periods of immobility, increasing the quality and range of motions in joints after muscular strain or joint strain, to breaking down scar tissue caused by trauma, and mobilising and allowing the body to achieve optimum balance.
This in turn affects the functioning of the whole ody via optimising connections with the nervous, circulatory and lymphatic systems.
The techniques differ according to the needs of the individual, so during consultation, each patient´s management is individually designed to treat his or her problem.
